A simplification package the Commission proposed in November 2025 that amends parts of the AI Act, GDPR and other digital laws. Among other changes, it ties the start of high-risk obligations to the availability of standards and support tools, with backstop dates of 2 December 2027 for Annex III and 2 August 2028 for Annex I.
